You’re not, you’re selling a story about your company or you’re selling a good news story that you know, can happen to this person if they try your product. It’s telling somebody that they’re going to meet some statutory goal isn’t a story. So you got to get to people’s hearts if you want to change behavior. And I think small businesses can do a better job of telling the story about how they’re helping support in, in the military world, the war fighter. Emily Harman has 38 years of service to her country as both a Naval Officer and civilian federal employee. Emily retired as a member of the Senior Executive Service in May 2019.

Emily’s last assignment was being the Director of the Department of the Navy’s Office of Small Business Programs where she served as the chief advisor to the Secretary of the Navy on all small business matters.For 14 years Emily worked at NAVAIR and NAVSUP a position that she says she initially did not want, but ultimately thoroughly enjoyed and received great satisfaction from.

Emily finds deep satisfaction in helping others achieve their goals and realize their potential. She continues to serve through her business, Emily Harman Coaching and Consulting, LLC, as a personal life coach, a small business consultant, and the host of Onward Podcast.
